How it works

Connect your book. Scout gets to work.

Scout works the calls, quotes, past customers and open invoices that slip when the office is busy, from the software you already run. Connect your software, review the outreach, see what gets paid and booked.

Step 1: Connect your software

Switching systems means retraining the team. Instead, connect the software your shop already runs. Each shop gets its own dedicated Scout.

Step 2: Set who, what and when

A message that doesn't sound like your shop can cost you a customer. You choose who Scout reaches, what it says and when. Outreach goes out after you approve. Ask and adjust in Scout Chat, then approve on the campaign page.

Example shop. In Scout Chat the owner asks for customers with no visit in 12 months. Scout finds 38 and leaves 5 out under the shop's rules. It sets up who (33 customers, last visit 12 or more months ago), the message, and when (9 AM to 5 PM). Next, the owner reviews the 33 texts on the campaign page. Nothing goes out until the owner approves.

App screens show an example shop.

Step 3: Review who and why

A text to someone who already booked is hard to take back. See who is included, who is left out, and why. No outreach goes out until you approve.

Example shop. An outreach review card for winning back customers with no visit in 12 months or more. 33 customers are included, each with their last visit. 5 are left out, each with a reason from the example shop's rules: two already booked, an open invoice handled separately, no mobile number on record, and a commercial account. The owner reviews the list and the message preview, then approves the texts.

Step 4: See what got paid and booked

Messages sent don't pay the bills. Track collected payments and booked jobs. Follow-up texts stop when a customer replies, books or pays.

Example shop. A month's report: $12,640 collected and 18 jobs booked: invoice payments $12,640, 31 paid by pay link; booked from quotes $11,960, 4 jobs; booked from returning customers $5,880, 14 jobs.

FAQ

Getting set up.

What software does Scout work with?

Scout connects with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro and FieldEdge. One chat works across the systems it connects with.

Does each shop share a system with other shops?

No. Each shop gets its own dedicated Scout, and you teach it your shop rules in chat by saying "remember that".
